My Humorous Monologue

I have learned a lot of things from my humorous monologue some things are, learning how to import videos to iMovie. Also what the difference of B-roll and A-roll is. Another thing I learned from the project is how to work a camera and how to take the memory card and put it on a flash drive. Also making a joke and putting it on a joke plan. I Learned that timing is very important when you are telling your joke, you should be on time. One last thing I learned is, how to make a joke and make people laugh.

Pad is space around an element's content and margins or borders. The length or running time in your movie or video. Its extra footage before your video or movie of after it. Padding your clips is crucial because if you don't pad your movie or video will look really choppy. Also it wont look like it all works together and not all separated. Plus when you end the movie nothing will cut off and you will see your whole video and nothing chopped off at the end or beginning.

My biggest weakness in the comedic monologue was taking the videos and my voice and editing it to make it all fit together. Also I had trouble with taking my videos and putting it on to my computer. What I thought was very easy in my project was importing everything onto iMovie. Another thing I thought was easy was filming my B-roll and A-roll plus making up my joke. Ways I can improve on is when the teacher give instructions or directions I should really listen really close and not play around while he's talking. Also when I put all my work in my folder I should name it so I stay organized and not know where everything is.

Comedy Writing

Sense of humor is an important character trait because a lot of people have stressful days and they would really want to read something that is funny. If we didn't have a sense of humor none of us would be funny. If someone was sad we wouldn't be able to brighten up their day with a funny story. We need to be able to laugh and giggle, it brightens up there day no one wants to be sad all day and never laugh. Having a sense of humor is very important in our lives.

Five tips to write a humorous narrative is... A big and loud voice so everyone can here and speaking in a tone to match the narrative, VOICE MATTERS!! The Secret to Humor is SURPRISE, Most humor relies on surprise, one way or another. Also make a connection with your audience. Define your attitude in the story, how does the story make you feel? Happy? Sad? Angry? Lastly, be passionate about what your writing it makes you story become a lot more stronger!

My comedic monologue is about my brother doing ninja tricks and trying to teach kids how to be a ninja turtle. But he fell off the bed and fell on his face and grabbed my parents curtains and ripped them and he broke my parents rods. I think my comedic monologue is funny because I was right there when it happened and video taping the whole thing. My brother is super clumsy even though he got hurt after he was laughing. My parents got really mad at him but laughing at the same time. It was also funny when he fell on his face.

Motivational Poster

For our motivational poster at Kapaa Middle School, I need 2 text layers, only one for your manifesto and the 3 other text layers will be of your personal quotes. You will have 4 image layers, 1 portrait only of your face and 3 images that represent who you are. your design requirements you are gonna need to kern both text layers with no blank spaces on your paper. Also you will need a triadic color scheme its 1 dominant and 2 harmonious accent colors from the color wheel. You will also need a visual balance its equal weight of elements in a design. Lastly you will have blending options and adjustment layers for your image.

To make my motivational poster....I first made personal quotes, then I made my manifesto. After I was done with that I copied it and put it into Photoshop and made 2 text layers, my manifesto then my personal quotes. I started to kern the words to make it fit the whole paper without any blank spaces. When I was done with all of that I had to add 4 other layers, 3 text layers that represent who I am and 1 portrait only of your face. Then I had to put in my triadic color scheme for my whole blog, and made everything look colorful. Now I had to blend and adjust all the layers and images to make everything fit.

My biggest challenge for making my motivational poster was getting my 4 photos on the computer and blending it in with my manifesto and personal quotes. Getting everything organized and making the letters pop out with color around it, was also very hard. I can improve this for next time by asking for help when ever I need it and not being scared to ask anyone and right down everything that you didn't really get so you can remember what to do.
